Plan:
-wedge clay
-create rectangle
-add smaller rectangle to create a 3D vase
-make tiny ovals
-attach to vase to create flowers
-add small leaves
-underglaze

About the Artist:
This piece was inspired by Edouard Manet's "White Lilacs in a Glass Vase". He was a french painter in the 1800s. His art was influenced by spanish artists but he later developed his own distinct style of modern art.
Reflection:
I chose to use this artwork as my inspiration because lilacs are my favorite flower. At first, my plan was to create vase with the lilacs inside, but then I decided to try something else. Overall I am pretty happy with how it turned out, especially the flowers and vase. If I were to do this again, I would definitely make it bigger and also start sooner.
